I'm A Lonesome Cat
04:17
|
|||
I’m a lonesome cat- oh, I’m a lonesome cat
I’m a lonesome cat-can’t get away from that
I’m a lonesome cat
Got me a black cat bone-got a mojo too
And John the Conqueror says I’m meant for you
I’m a lonesome cat
Only have one friend-I only have one friend
He’s man’s best friend-a dog named Zen
I’m a lonesome cat
I’m a lonesome cat-I’m all alone
I’m on my own-I’m all alone
I’m a lonesome cat
I got the low-down blues-got the lonesome blues
Got the mean ol’ blues-holes in my shoes
I’m a lonesome cat
I want to boogie tonight-want to boogie tonight
Got to boogie tonight-makes me feel alright
I’m a lonesome cat
Ah baby all night long-oh all night long
Doin’ it all night long-we can’t go wrong
I’m a lonesome cat
Oh my good gal gone-I’m all alone
Got no one-I’m all alone
I’m a lonesome cat-
I’m a lonesome cat-I’m a lonesome cat
Ain’t got no smoke-it ain’t no joke
I’m a lonesome cat
Mm-m-mm mm-m-m-m
I’m a lonesome cat-I’m a lonesome cat
I’m a lonesome cat-can’t get away from that
I’m a lonesome cat

Shabby Doo Bop
02:38
|
|||
I’ve got a right to be happy, I’ve got a right to be sad
(I’ve got) a right to sing the blues, and (I’ve got) a right to be glad
Oh, I’m glad to be here right now just singing along in time
To the rhythm of my heart and I love the next line
(Chorus) Shabby doo bop doo bop
Shabby doo bop da dee
‘Tis the sound of a heart
A heart feeling free
I’ve got to do it tonight, I’ve got to do it today
The timing’s just right and life’s just a play
So swing on your swing, dance on the floor
Pick up your feet and then come back for more
Chorus
Now the lightning was flashin’ and the thunder came a crashin,
But the clouds just up and vanished and the full moon is a dancin’
There’s kids out there screamin’, jumpin’ and a splashin’
Taking a midnight swim while the summer keeps advancin’
Chorus

Hobo Joe (Moanin')
04:14
|
|||
(New words by Jay Sewall & Michael Jerome Browne)
We be moanin’, moanin’
Sitting by the campfire light
We be moanin’, moanin’
That’ the hobo’s lullabye
(Chorus)
I came down here on a long freight train
Maybe you heard the whistle blow
When it slowed down, I jumped off
That’s the way of a hobo
Chorus
I don’t have a penny, I don’t have a dime
Just a few clothes in my sac
Oh hidden down below there is something that shines
I carry it all on my back
Chorus
I can’t remember the sound of my own name
Or even where I come from
Folks just call me Hobo Joe
I guess that means I’m a bum
Chorus

Love Is A Flower
03:42
|
|||
Love is a flower, the softest kind
Love has the power, to blow your mind
Love is a flower, it waits for you
Love has the power to chase away your blues
You may be living through times of sorrow
You may be waiting for a new tomorrow
You may be riding that old highway
But when you find love, you’re gonna stop and say
CHORUS
You may playing a dangerous game
You may be living in the fast lane
You may be caught in some dreary hole
But when you find love it’ll save your soul
CHORUS
You may be standing at the crossroads
You maybe wonderin’ which way to go
It’s time to listen to your heart son
It’s time to make a brand new start
Solo
You’ve seen the mountains, you’ve seen the sea
You’ve seen the sunshine right through the trees
You’ve seen the moon shine in someone’s eyes
Next time you feel love, just harmonize
CHORUS
(repeat last line 3x)

Let Go Your Ego
03:55
|
|||
Let go your ego-get that monkey off your back
You don’t need the extra baggage when you’re walking down the track
Take a step inside where there’s peace and harmony
And kiss your thoughts good-bye as you sail the seven seas
Life is just a journey, from the beginning ‘til the end
There’s a million adventures waiting for you from the beginning ‘til the end
It may take a little courage to step out on your own
But when you finally do it you’ll never be afraid to be alone
CHORUS
You can climb the highest mountain, you can reach the tallest peak
You can visit ancient cities where life moves mysteriously
You can gaze into the hearts of people whom you’ve never seen before
You can open up your eyes-you can open up the door
CHORUS
You may want to go to Africa, to China or Japan
South America, Russia or perhaps Afganistan
You may even go to India and visit a guru
Ah but when you ask for his advice-here’s what he’ll say to you
(CHORUS)
Let go your ego-get that monkey off your back
You don’t need the extra baggage when you’re walking down the track
Take a step inside where there’s peace and harmony
And kiss your thoughts good-bye as you sail the seven seas

Blanchette
03:18
|
|||
She’s as white as an angel, her hands flutter in the breeze
She’s nobody’s mistress, as you fall down to your knees
So I wrap your arms around her giving her all of my love
Whispering sweet words that I never dreamed of
(Chorus)
Blanchette, Blanchette
She’s dancing in the breeze
Blanchette, Blanchette
She’s waiting there for me
You can feel her sensitivity, her humility and her pride
And when she senses danger, she wants to run and hide
Oh, who will protect her, be her gardian tonight
Whispering those words that make her feel just right
(Chorus)

Take A Chance
02:56
|
|||
If you love her, love her- let yourself go
Enjoy yourself, you old so and so
She’s the queen of your heart and you’re her king
No matter what country or state you’re in
If the feeling‘s there, let yourself dance
If you want to live then you’ve got to-take a chance
Who needs pressure and who needs pain
Take a risk and step out of the rain
There’s boogie-woogie music playing down the street
Put on your hi-heeled sneekers and move your feet
If the feeling‘s there, let yourself dance
If you want to live then you’ve got to-take a chance
Tu peux parler Italien, tu peux parler anglais
Tu peux parler espanol, tu peux parler en français
Quand les sentiments vous font peur
Donnes à ton ami une très belle fleur
If the feeling’s there, let yourself dance
If you want to live then you’ve got to-take a chance.
(Repeat first verse)

What To Do
03:41
|
|||
What to do, I won’t see you for a while
What to do, I miss your gentle smile
What to do, I’ve cried just like a child
What to do, with all this love for you
What to do, when the morning sun will shine
What to do, when I can’t look into your eyes
What to do, with this emptiness inside
What to do, with all this love for you
Who knows where the time goes
Who knows what we’ll be
Who knows where the river flows
After it reaches the sea, after it reaches the sea
What to do, I will never be the same
What to do, something inside of me has changed
What to do, when will I see you again
What to do, with all this love for you
SOLO
Verse 2 (repeat)
Bridge (repeat)
Ending: Repeat with improvising "After it reaches the sea"

Run Indian Run
03:02
|
|||
[Lyrics by Thomas P. Kelly]
In British Columbia, long years ago
Gun-an-noot lived and the records show
An Indian of honour who had no foe,
And the elders still tell his story.
Accused of murdering two white men, he told his tribe:
“I have never harmed no one and never lied.
Now police seek my capture, what shall I do?”
And as one, all his tribe men replied:
Run Indian run,” they cried’
“White man’s law, not on the red man’s side.
They’ll take you and hang you, unless you hide.”
So he ran on and on, for thirteen long years.
They will tell of Gun-an-noot’s long, long flight,
Of the posses that searched for him, day and night,
But no lawman could catch him, though many tried,
While the years slowly passed, one by one.
Police continued their search in the summer’s heat,
Likewise in the winter’s snow, cold, and sleet,
Yet he always escaped them with his flying feet,
And at night he’d recall his tribe’s words.
CHORUS
The law finally declared he was not guilty,
Gun-an-noot then returned to his family,
But all of his tribesmen could plainly see
How that long search had taken its toll.
When he died, the white man sought to bring him fame,
And a lake and a mountain now bear his name,
But what good was that, for it has been said
You can’t read your tombstone when you’re dead.
CHORUS

Where Does Love Take Us
05:42
|
|||
(MAN) Her softness surrounds me like a warm summer’s night
And the fragrance of her hair, oh that’s my heart’s delight
Her picture is hanging inside of my mind
It comes and it goes like shadows and sunshine, (Oh)
(CHORUS) Where does love take us, I don’t want to know
I’ve jumped into the river, now I go with the flow
True love is like magic-its spell makes you whole
All you can do is be true to your soul
(WOMAN) He’s a wandering gypsy, he’s nobody’s fool
His love is his music to which he is true
His words are simple - wise like his eyes
Truth is his game-and there’s no compromising, (Oh)
(CHORUS) Where does love take us, I don’t want to know
I’ve jumped into the river, now I go with the flow
True love is like magic-its spell makes you whole
All you can do is be true to your soul
(MAN) She just reappeared like a song in the night
Singing so sweetly I could not help but harmonize
(WOMAN) And soon we were flying high in the sky
Touching distant stars without asking why, (Oh)
(CHORUS) Where does love take us -I don’t want to know
I’ve jumped into the river, now I go with the flow
True love is like magic, its spell makes you whole
All you can do is be true to your soul
(WOMAN) A note from his guitar smiles in my eye
Then slips down my cheek and hides in my thighs
(MAN) If I were that note, I would dance just like a fool
In and out of her secrets moaning ‘Baby I love you’, (Oh)
(CHORUS) Where does love take us, I don’t want to know
I’ve jumped into the river, now I go with the flow
True love is like magic- its spell you whole
All you can do is be true to your soul
True love is like magic –

Good Morning Sunshine
03:09
|
|||
Good morning sunshine
I’m feeling fine
Feeling my body
Walk down the line
When was the time
Why was I cryin’
Don’t give a goll darn
‘Cause I’m feeling fine
Sun shining warm
I’m full of charm
Feeling my body
Walk down the line
